Deed Book C p. 158 William COLLINS and Rebecca PURCELL, Widow of Isaac PURCELL, late Rebecca COLLINS who are heirs and children of Ruth COLLINS who was a daughter of William BUFFINGTON deceased of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and Edmond MORRIS of the County of Cabell and Commonwealth of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William COLLINS and Rebecca PURCELL late Rebecca COLLINGS for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Edmund MORRIS do bargain and sell a certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate in the County of Cabell and Commonwealth of Virginia lying and being in a Larger Tract of Military Land Patented to John SAVAGE and Sixty one Others lying and being on the Ohio Great Sandy and Guyandette Rivers which said Large Military Survey Containing 28,627 acres of Land and has not been regularly divided and the part Hereby Intended to be Conveyed is a part of John SAVAGEs claim in said Survey which said Land said SAVAGE sold to the aforesaid William BUFFINGTON and under said William BUFFINGTON last will and Testament said SAVAGE Purveyed the said claim to Thomas BUFFINGTON and William BUFFINGTON Trustees of the estate of the said William BUFFINGTON Deceased for the benefit of his heirs and devisees of whom the said Ruth COLLINS was one and the said Ruth COLLINS her husband Thomas COLLINS having departed this life without will and the said William COLLINS and Rebecca PURCELL being their only children, the Land --- will as aforesaid by their Grand father William BUFFINGTON descended and passed to them which said Land Contained Five hundred Acres which the trustees aforesaid obtained from John SAVAGE only three hundred and thirty eight Acres thereof lay in the 28.628 acres as aforesaid described and the remainder thereof being one hundred and sixty two acres lay in another Survey in Kanawha County situate on the Kanawha River and Pogalico (?)
