Deed Bk K p. 278 Whereas on the fifth day of September 1836 will to my sons JOSHUA BUZAN and PHILIP BUZAN my tract of lands in Bullitt County on the south side of Floyds fork whereon I now live containing one hundred acres more or less being part of POPE & PATTON’s 1400 acre tract and deeded to me by them which will I have this day destroyed and have sold off the west end of Said tract fifty acres to JAMES GENTRY the balance of Said Tract fifty acres more or less I do by these presences convey to NATHANIEL P. SAUNDERS in Trust for my said son PHILIP BUZAN for the consideration of one dollar and the love and affection I bear my Said Son PHILIP Whom I desire to take immediate possession of said land and cultivate the same with all due attention to the same and out of the proceeds or production of the soil he is to give my wife REBECCA BUZAN his mother a decent support she being very old. I require his attention to her as a dutiful son that he is restrained from cutting and selling the timber off of said land to any person or persons whatever and to refrain from intoxication and intemperance and in the event my said son PHILIP does not give to his mother a decent support and dutiful attention preserve the timber keep the farm in repair refrain from intoxication and do in temperance The Said SAUNDERS Trustee as aforesaid has full power and authority to rent out the lands yearly for and during the life of my said wife REBECCA and furnish her with all the comforts of life so far as said rent will go she retaining the possession of the house and yard and as much of the fruit as she may require for her own use saving to myself a portion of the fruit and at her death said trustee may dispose of said land and divide the money among my daughters NANCY GENTRY, ELIZABETH HOLLIS, REBECCA WHEELER and CATHERINE GIBSON and my said Trustee is authorized to make a deed of conveyance to the purchaser if sold and to be the Judge of the propriety of the conduct of my said son PHILIP in all matters herein set forth.
