Deed Book B p. 189 Jacob BOWMAN and his wife of the County of Bullitt and commonwealth of Kentucky to Jacob FROMAN Junior of the County and Commonwealth aforesaid... for and in consideration of one hundred Dollars to them in hand paid have given granted, bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of Land situate, lying and being in the County of Clark and Indianna Territory containing five hundred acres part of the Illinois Grant Number two hundred and thirty seven and bounded as follows... Beginning at a poplar, the South corner of Abraham KELLAR's Survey number two hundred and thirty eight running thence with KELLAR's line North forty degrees West three hundred poles to a Beech and thence with a line of Richard TERRELL's Survey number two hundred and fifty two South fifty degrees West two hundred sixty six and two third poles to a Beech thence bending on Richard BRASHEAR's survey number two hundred and thirty six South forty degrees East three (or two?) hundred poles crossing a large Branch of the middle fork of Silver Creek to a Beech; thence North fifty degrees East two hundred sixty six and two third poles crossing the branch to the beginning with its appurtenances the deed is signed Jacob BOWMAN and under it had been written Nelly BOWMAN which was crossed out (apparently by the clerk) The deed was recorded Bullitt Co.
