TRUNNELL dec'd and further to settle and adjust all debts and claims against said Estate and pay the same for me, hereby investing said PHELPS as my Attorney to do and perform any act relating to said Estate that I might do were I personally present hereby ratifying and confirming whatever said PHELPS as my Attorney may do in settling and arranging the Estate of said JNO. He should be the grandson of Marsham BRASHEAR and Lucy PHELPS Bullitt Co. Deed Book D p. 270 Know all men by these presents that I DENNIS BRASHEAR of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky have this day bargained and sold to JOSEPH A. BROOKS one negro boy named HARRY about ten years of age, slave for life for the sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars, which s'd negro I hereby certify to be the property of said BROOKS his heirs Exors or assigns for life and I further bind myself my heirs Exors or any other person or persons claiming or to claim by through or under in the above mentioned to answer any claim that any person whatsoever shall claim.
