30 March 1818  Bullitt Co. Deed Book C p.493    JAMES BROWN of the County of Bullitt and 
State of Kentucky to SAMUEL BROWN of same... that for and in Consideration of the sum of 
Eight dollars to him in hand paid hath granted bargained and sold all interest, right & 
title to the lands and personal property left to my by my father in his last will and 
testament and also my  claim which I now have or hereafter may have on or against the estate 
of my said father for land money personal property or negroes.  Hereby Covenanting and 
engaging with said SAMUEL BROWN & to his heirs forever I hereto set my hand and seal this 
day.

12 March 1832  Bullitt Co. Deed Book G p. 502  MARTIN HARSHFIELD and Mary his wife of the 
County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part to CHRISTIAN BARRELL of the same 
County and State of the other part... that for and in consideration of the sum of twenty 
nine Dollars and twenty five Cents to them in hand paid have given granted bargained and 
sold a Certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in said County on Knob Creek 
and bounded by a corner of the division line between said HARSHFIELD and BARRRELL...  being 
a part of HORINE’s five hundred acre Survey and part of a tract of land on which the said 
HARSHFIELD now lives.

ALEXANDER BROWN and SARAH his wife of the county of Nelson and State of Kentucky of the one 
part to James SAMUELS of the county of Bullitt and State aforesaid... for and in 
consideration of the sum of sixty dollars to them in hand paid have granted bargained and 
sold a tract of land which JACOB HORINE died seized and possessed  situate lying and being 
on the waters of Knob Creek in the county of Bullitt and State aforesaid and which is yet 
undivided between and amongst said heirs to have and to hold the said undivided 
Interest of the said ALEXANDER BROWN and Sarah his wife had their portion and agree to 
transfer that portion to the said JAMES SAMUELS and his heirs..
