Bullitt Co. Deed Book L p.  97  Whereas in a Court in Chancery in Bullitt 
County Circuit Court in the name of William BARNES Sr. against Adeline C.   
BARNES, Timoleon BARNES and Edwin Augustin BARNES, widow and heirs of Richard 
BARNES dec’d, the said Court did by its Decree of the 8th day of April 1847 
direct that the said widow and heirs of Richard BARNES dec’d on or before the 
6th day of April Term, 1847 of said Court did convey by deed to the said 
William BARNES Sr. the lot of land in the Bills and Decree mentioned and on 
their failure to make said conveyance Nathaniel P. SAUNDERS is Appointed 
Commissioner by said Decree to make said Conveyance on behalf of said widow 
and heirs.

That in Consideration of the premises, the sale and money paid for said lot 
in the case, they the said Adeline BARNS, Timoleon BARNS and Edward Augstine 
BARNS have sold and conveyed unto the said BARNS the half acre lot of land 
mentioned this day 10 April 1847.

Nat. P.  SAUNDERS signed on behalf of Adeline C. BARNES, Timoleon BARNS and 
Edwin Augustin BARNS and it was recorded 21 April 1847.

(.... and yes they start out spelling it BARNES and by the end of the deed 
everyone is BARNS)
