KY Deed Book L p. 339 Whereas Weathers KING dec'd by his will devised a certain tract of land in Bullitt County KY on the waters of Long Lick Creek to his daughter Lavicy CALDWELL, wife of James CALDWELL, now deceased, and said Lavacy died leaving some thirteen children - one of whom Polly CALDWELL intermarried with William CALDWELL and said Polly has since died and leaving the following children and heirs: Thomas C. CALDWELL, Minerva, now wife of James WOODS, Margaret now wife of James CLARKE, Phebe now wife of Matthew CROWDIS, David R. CALDWELL, Sydney S. (or L?) CALDWELL, John CALDWELL and James H (K?) (C? ) CALDWELL - said tract of land so devised contains about 240 acres more or less - now in dispute with F. MARAMAN's heirs and said James and Lavicy CALDWELL's children afs'd. had a tract of some 37 1/4 acres, more or less, deeded to them by Comr. in the Washington Circuit Court for Adam SHEPHERD's heirs - said 37 1/4 acres in part of Adam SHEPHERD's old place on Long Lick creek, Bullitt County - also in dispute with said MARAMAN's heirs and said Polly CALDWELL's children an husband Wm. CALDWELL claim an Interest of one undivided childs part or one thirteenth of said two tracts of land reference to the suit and papers in Bullitt Circuit Court of said CALDWELL's heirs and said Polly CALDWELL's children & heirs aforesaid, said Wm. CALDWELL heirs for and in consideration of the mutual love and affection which they have in all ---- toward Benjamin F. CALDWELL, a son of said Levicy CALDWELL and other good and valuable considerations paid by said B. F. CALDWELL to said Polly CALDWELL's children and her husband, sold and conveyed and do by these presents and this Indenture made this ( left blank) day of 1848 sell and convey unto him the said Benjamin F. CALDWELL and to his heirs and assigns forever all their undivided interest, right title & claim of, in and too the said tracts of land. Witness the hands and seals of the grantors Wm. CALDWELL Thos.
