(29 Jan 1839 Bullitt Co. Deed Bk I p. 155  JOHN WHITLEDGE of Bullitt County Kentucky to 
 WILLIAM G. WHITLEDGE, WILLIAM S. BROOKS and John CLARKE of the second part.  Witnesseth 
that JOHN WHITLEDGE for the natural love and affection he has and bears towards said son Wm. 
G. WHITLEDGE and his Sons-in-law BROOKS and CLARKE for the sum of one dollar from each of 
them to him in hand paid does sell and convey  unto the said William G. WHITLEDGE,  WILLIAM 
S. BROOKS and JOHN CLARKE as tenants in Common the following tract of land in Bullitt County 
on the south side of Salt River on the head waters of Rock Run and Ceder Creek)
