25 Sep 1798  Bullitt Co. Deed Book A2  p. 68  James CRENSHAW & Lucy CRENSHAW his wife of the one 
part to Sharpe SPENCER of the other part.  Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of thirty 
pounds Current money of Virginia to them in hand paid have Bargained & Sold a Certain Tract or parcel 
of one hundred & fifty acres of Land lying in Bullitt County and State of Kentucky on the waters of (or 
near) Salt River Being part of a Survey that the said James CRENSHAW Bought of Susanna COX the 
Daughter of David COX.

11 Nov 1815  Bullitt Co. Deed Book C p.297  Richard DAVIS, attorney in fact for Thomas CRENSHAW and 
Elizabeth CRENSHAW his wife of the County of Hanover and State of Virginia of the one part and Gideon 
WALKER of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Richard 
DAVIS attorney aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and four Dollars current 
money to him in hand paid by the said Gideon WALKER Hath granted bargained and sold a certain tract or 
parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt on the waters of Plumb Creek containing by 
estimation Two hundred and fifty two acres ... bordering PEYTON’s preemption.
