POPE Commissioner approved by a session of the Bullitt Circuit Court at the August term of 1823 in the suit in chancery in the name of Reuben CASES heirs against the heirs unknown of Thomas WHITLEDGE decd.( Re_____ being had said heirs will more fully appear) of the one part and Samuel GOLDSMITH and Elizabeth his wife formerly Elizabeth CASE and Rachel HARRIS formerly Rachael CASE heirs and legal Representatives of Reuben CASE decd of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George F. POPE Commissioner as aforesaid for and on behalf of the Heirs unknown of the said Thomas Whitledge decd for and in consideration of the premises hath granted released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant, release, convey and confirm unto the said Samuel GOLDSMITH and Elizabeth his wife and Rachel HARRIS and their Heirs &c forever a certain Tract or parcel of land containing t wo hundred acres situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt and bounded as follows towit. Beginning at the North East corner of MARSH and BRASHAMS four hundred acre survey a white oak Black oak and Elm and running thence North fifteen degrees West Twenty six poles to three ash trees sugar & Hickory trees corner to Jacob HARRISONS 1000 acre survey and west the line of his survey the following Courses and distances N 30o W 280 poles to a hoop ash buckeye & sugar tree on the bank of Floyds fork thence down the said fork ____ in the different meanders 200 poles to three Beech trees Course to said BRASHEARS and with his line S74o E 250 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances unto the said Samuel GOLDSMITH and Elizabeth his wife and Rachel HARRIS their heirs &v forever free and clear of and from all rights & title of Divers or other encumbrances and the said George F. POPE Commissioner as aforesaid for and on behalf of the Heirs unknwn as aforesaid doth Covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel GOLDSMITH and Elizabeth his wife and Rachel HARRIS that the said Heirs unknown Will and shall forever warrant and defend the said Tract or parcel of land from themselves and their heirs and all and every person or persons whatsoever Lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said George F. POPE Commissioner as aforesaid hath hereto set his hand and seal on the day and year firt written. ________ in presence of Geo. F. POPE Commissioner on behalf of the heirs unknown of Thomas WHITLEDGE decd State of Kentucky Bullitt Court February Term 1824 The within deed of Conveyance from George F. POPE Commissioner on behalf of the Heirs unknown of Thomas WHITLEDGE decd to the Heirs of Reuben CASE decd was presented in open Court approved of and acknowledged by the said POPE Commissioner and ordered to be Recorded whereupon I the clerk of the said court do certify that I have recorded the said Conveyance in my office as required by law.
