COLE; LEE; MYERS: HALBERT

This Indenture made and entered into this 16th day of May 1818 between Micajah 
COLE and Susannah his wife of the County of Franklin State of Kentucky of the 
one part and Henry LEE of Bullitt County and state aforesaid of the other part 
Witnesseth that the said Micajah COLE & Susannah his wife for and in 
consideration of the sum of three hundred and thirteen dollars Current money to 
them in hand paid have bargained and sold and by these presents do grant 
bargain and sell unto the said Henry LEE and his heirs forever Two hundred 
acres of land lying and being in Bullitt County on BROWNS run and bounded as 
follows To wit Beginning at a walnut buckeye and sugar tree on the division 
line agreed upon between Henry LEE and Charles LEE thence with a line of 500 
acres of land conveyed by Jacob MYERS to said COLE N57o E to an Elm and beech 
upper corner of said 500 acres thence N30o W to a sugar tree and black walnut 
another corner of sd 500 acres thence S60o West to then division line agreed 
upon between sd Henry LEE and Charles LEE thence with said division line to the 
Beginning To Have and to Hold the said 200 acres of land be there more or less 
between the bounds described Which includes the plantation and Improvements 
whereon said Henry LEE now lives to the to the said Henry LEE and his heirs to 
and for his and their only proper use benefit and behoof forever and the said 
Micajah COLE & Susannah his wife by themselves and their heirs do covenant and 
agree to and with the said Henry LEE that the before described land & premises 
they the said COLE and wife will and their heirs shall forever warrant and 
defend to him the said Henry LEE and his heirs against the claims of themselves 
and their heirs and all other persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said 
Micajah COLE and Susannah his wife have set their hands and seals the day and 
year just mentioned.

I James HALBERT Clerk of Bullitt County Court in the state of Kentucky do 
certify that on this day Micajah COLE & Susannah his wife a party to this 
foregoing Indenture personally before me acknowledged the same as ___ for their 
act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and she the said Susannah being 
by me examined separate and apart from her husband declared that she signed the 
same and Relinquished her right of dower of in and to the land therein 
described freely and Voluntarily and without any threats or persuasion whatever 
from her said husband whereupon I have truly Recorded the said Indenture 
together with this certificate in my office as required by law. Given under my 
hand this 16th day of May 1818
