Power of Attorney
Written: January 18, 1806

BRISCOE; CRIST; SINGLETON; GRAYSON

Know all men by these presents that I Nicholas CRIST of Bullitt County 
Commonwealth of Kentucky for myself and by virtue and in consequence of the 
Powers given me by Henrietta Marriam Francis Matthew & Robert BRISCOE Infant 
Heirs of Jarard BRISCOE Decd and also Elinder Jerard W Briscoe and Elizabeth 
BRISCOE all heirs at Law to said Decedant which ______ authority as hereto 
named, doth hereby mandate constitute and appoint James SINGLETON of Virginia 
my true and lawfull attorney for the particular purpose of settling with the 
administrators of Jerard BRISCOE decd in behalf of the above named Heirs hereby 
granting to my said attorney my whold and full power and authority in every 
Respect as if I were personally present to aske demand sue for and recover any 
money or property either real or personal which the said Heirs above mentioned 
may be entitles unto in the State of Virginia or elsewhere so as to affect a 
complete and final settlement in our behalf Ratifying and confirming wh
atsoever my said attorney may legally doe by virtue of these presents Whereas 
In Testimony I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of January 1806

At a County Court begun and held for sd County on Monday the Tenth day of March 
1806 The within Instrument of weiting was acknowledged by Nicholas CRIST Jr a 
party thereto and ordered to be recorded. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand and affixed the Seal of the said County this 11th day of March 1806
