The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net Transcribed by: donkmill@aol.com Date: 24 Oct 2000 *********************************************************************** Deed Book K pages 469,470 This Indenture made and entered into this 13th day of September 1845 Between Jacob DOOLIN and Malinda DOOLIN his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the first part and Henry MYERS of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth That the said DOOLIN and wife for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars paid in hand and One hundred and twenty five dollars to be paid on the 1st day of October 1846 for which sum the said MYERS has executed his note to us of this date We have this day granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien release convey and Confirm unto the said Henry MYERS his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on Knob Creek or its waters in the County of Bullitt State afs' and bounded as follows Beginning at two beeches standing on John RILEYS land and being one of Peter MILLER'S Corners thence N 55 degrees W 20 poles to a Stake thence N 69 degrees W 20 poles to a Sugar tree thence N 52 degrees W 56 poles to a Sycamore and Gum thence N 72 degrees W 17 poles to a stake thence N 80 degrees W 13 poles to a Sycamore and beech thence N 60 degrees W 17 poles to a stake thence N 89 degrees W 16 poles to a Sycamore standing in the forks of a branch thence N 42 degrees E 16 poles to a beech thence N 53 degrees E 34 poles to a beech and elm thence S 82 degrees E 20 poles to a beech thence S 64 degrees E 59 poles to a white oak on a ridge S 60 degrees E 14 poles to a black Jack N 83 degrees 18 poles to two black oaks S 24 degrees E 14 poles to a small Hickory N 71 degrees E 20 to two white oaks S 10 degrees E 16 poles to a Chesnut and beech thence East 18 poles to a white oak and Chesnut oak N 20 degrees E 12 poles to two Chesnuts thence East 18 poles to a small hickory and small black oak in RILEY'S line Thence with said RILEY'S line S 40 degrees W 18 poles to the Beginning Containing Fifty acres more or less and being the same tract of land conveyed to said Jacob DOOLIN by Peter MILLER by deed dated the 15th day of March 1831 and recorded in the Clerks Office of the Bullitt County Court on the 1 day of August 1831 which deed is refered to for greater Certainty To Have and To Hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the Henry MYERS his Executors and Administrators and to his and their only use and benefit and begoof forever. And the said Jacob DOOLIN & Malinda his wife for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant and agree to and with the said Henry MYERS his Executors and Administrators the said tract or parcel of land and from themselves their heirs Executors & Administrators and all persons claiming the same by through or under them and from the claim of all other persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In Testimony whereof the said Jacob DOOLIN and Malinda his wife have hereto set their hands All interlineations and erasures made before signed his Jacob X DOOLIN (seal) mark her Malinda X DOOLIN (seal) mark State of Kentucky Bullitt County Towit I, Noah C SUMMERS clerk of the County Court for said County Do Certify that this deed from Jacob DOOLIN and Malinda his wife to Henry MYERS was produced to me in my Office on the 13th day of October 1845 and acknowledged by the said Jacob DOOLIN to be his act and deed and the said Malinda DOOLIN being examined by me privily and apart from her husband declares that she did freely & willingly seal and deliver the said deed and wishes not to retract it and acknowledges the said deed again shown and explained to her to be her act and deed and Consentes that the same may be recorded Whereupon the said deed together with the foregoing Certificate thereon endorsed hath been duly admitted to record in my office Given under my hand this 9 day of January 1846 Noah C SUMMERS Clk
