For and in consideration of the sum of one dollar in current money of the United States to them in hand paid have given granted bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt containing one hundred acres bounded by Salt River and the upper line of a survey of five hundred acres in the name of John MACHER and the land released by Philip BUCKNER to the said MACHER lying within the said MACHER survey being the same one hundred acres of Land conveyed by the said BUCKNER to the said McDOWELL by deed of bargain and sale bearing date 3 Dec 1802 recorded in the Court of Bracken County. KY Deed Book B p. 293 Jacob FROMAN Sr. of the County of Woodford of the one part to George POPE Sr. of the County of Lincoln, both of the State of Kentucky. For and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand dollars current money to him in hand paid by the said George POPE hath bargained all hereafter mentioned lands and negroes towit: one tract containing six hundred acres situate lying in the County of Bullitt at the mouth of rowling fork the upper side Entered in the name of Paul FROMAN and patented with name of Jacob FROMAN of the County of ----- be divided agreeably to the paten for the same also one tract of five hundred acres situate lying and being on the rowling fork at the lower side Entered and pattented in the name of said Jacob FROMAN and to be bounded agreeable to the courses in the Patton also one other tract lying on salt river in Bullitt County Just below where IRONSES salt works formerly was containing one hundred acres being the same were on Isaac FROMAN now lives and to be bounded agreeable to the courses mentioned in said Jacob FROMAN's deed for the same also two negroe Boys one named Patterson about nine years old being said Boy which said FROMAN has in his possession being a Mulatto Boy, the other named David a Black Negro about Eleven years old, Boy now in the custody of a Mr. EADES as the security for some money which has been due from Jacob FROMAN Jr. the whole of the aforesaid property as wit Lands as negroes are hereby sold and conveyed unto the said George POPE Senr. and his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of them the said George POPE and his heirs and assigns for ever and further the said Jacob FROMAN and his heirs do covenant with the said George POPE the before mentioned lands and negroes Now provided that the said Jacob FROMAN do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said POPE or to his heirs the just and full sum of One thousand dollars the same to be in silver dollars at their present currency it being the principle of a bond which the said Jacob FROMAN Executed to the said George POPE the twenty ninth day of July in the year One thousand eight hundred and seven provided also that the said FROMAN do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said George POPE in silver dollars as aforesaid all the Interest which now is or may hereafter become due on the aforesaid Bond of one thousand dollars, the whole of the principle to be paid in two years from the date hereof it being on the twenty fourth day of February in the year of One thousand eight hundred and eleven the aforesaid interest as it annually became due and at such Performances the foregoing Instrument is to be void and of none effect otherwise to stand and in full force and virtue of the law. In Testimony wereof the said Jacob FROMAN hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this day and year first above written. KY Deed Book B p. 404 Jacob FROMAN of the county of Woodford and state of Kaintuck to Isaac FROMAN of the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid... for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand pade by Isaac FROMAN hath bargained and sold a certain tract or parsel of land lying and being in the County of Bullit containing one hundred and fifty acres of land whereon the said Isaac now lives within the survey of John McKEYS and bounded as followeth by Salt reaver and the upper line of McKEYS five hundred acre survay that runs out from the raver the same being convayed to Jacob FROMAN by John McDOWELL. KY Deed Book B p. 405 Jacob FROMAN Sr. and Barbary his wife of the county of Woodford and commonwealth of Kentucky to Jonathan IRONS of the county of Bullitt and commonwealth aforesaid. For and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid have given granted bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Bullitt part of said FROMAN's 1680 acre tract and bounded by BUCKNER's upper corner in Salt river. (signed) Jacob FROMAN Barbarah (X) FROMAN Though the deed is dated 19 Aug 1808 the following is below it: August Court 1807 This Indenture of bargain and sale between Jacob FROMAN & Barbarah his wife of the one part and Jonathan IRONS of the other part was exhibited unto court and acknowledged by the said Jacob & Barbary to be their act and deed and the said Barbary being privately examined separately apart from her said husband relinquished her right of dower to land therein mentioned as the law directs whereupon the said Indenture is ordered to be certified and a copy therof to be recorded. Signed Tho. ALLIN clerk of the Mercer Co. KY Court. The deed was then recorded 9 Dec 1810 in Bullitt Co. Court 14 April 1798 Bullitt Co. KY Deed Book B p. 419 Paul FROMAN and Mary his wife of the county of Nelson and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part to Jacob AMBROSE of the county and commonwealth aforesaid... for and in consideration of one hundred pounds Kentucky currency by the said Jacob AMBROSE to them in hand paid have bargained and sold an undivided moiety or equal half part of a certain tract of land containing four hundred acres by survey bearing date the twenty fourth day of February one thousand seven hundred and eighty five and patented to POPE and FROMAN situate lying and being on the south side of Salt river adjoining (left blank) and EDWARDS five hundred and sixty acres survey in the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth aforesaid. KY Deed Book B p. 579 Whereas John MACHIR of the County of Mason and State of Kentucky did on the 30th day of January 1798 Sell unto John McDOWELL of Bullitt County and State aforesaid five hundred acres of Land Lying on the north Side of Salt River near Bullitt Lick entered Surveyed and pattened in the name of said MACHIR for which he passed at the time aforesaid an obligation of a title which obligation by assignment has become the property of Jacob FROMAN of the County of Woodford and State aforesaid who having an interfearing claime with that sold by said MACHIR to said McDOWELL is now Compromised by the said FROMAN and the said MACHIR and the said obligation for a title given up to Said MACHIR, Now this Indenture made this 19th day of May 1812 between John MACHIR to Jacob FROMAN for and in Consideratoin of the sum of one dollar Current money to him in hand paid by the said Jacob FROMAN hath granted bargained and sold and by thse presents doth grant Bargain and Sell the said five hundred acres of land above described and bounded by Sundry Corners and Courses designated in the patent granted to the said MACHIR for the Same .
