9 March 1846  Bullitt Co. KY Deed Book L p. 48  Tandy J. DAVIS of the County 
of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part to Owen GOLDSMITH of the 
County and State aforesaid.  For and in consideration of the sum of twenty 
seven dollars to him in hand paid doth bargain and sell a certain tract or 
parcel of land lying in Bullitt County Ky on the head of a branch of Salt 
River rising between NICHOL's and McCAHANS improvements and bounded as 
follows Towit:  Beginning at a stake on the side of a hill in John MAY's 
line... containing fifty four acres be the same more or less.
