GENTRY of the County of Washington and all of the state of Kentucky of the first part to William W. HALL of the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid of the second part. That the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand Dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold one undivided fourth part of a certain tract or lot of ground in the County of Bullitt and near the town of Mt. Washington and bounded as followeth.. On the south and west by the Louisville and Bardstown Turnpike road on the north by what is called Snapp Street. It is the same lot of land purchased by the firm of Stephens & Gentry of Nat. P. SAUNDERS, George MARSHALL and W. H. EVANS and on which the ------ (Shotonee?) Steam Mills are built together with all and singular the one undivided fourth part interest of said Lot of ground and one fourth part of said mills and fixtures to the only use and behoof of the party of the second part. In witness thereof the said William STEVENS and Mary E. STEVENS his wife, Lewis GENTRY and Betty GENTRY his wife, James B. GENTRY and Elizabeth (Elizabeth is written and then crossed out as he undoubtedly meant to write Amelia) G. his wife whose wives hereby relinquished their right of dower in the land conveyed hereunto set their hands.
