Deed Book D p.187 Justices of the County of Bullitt of the one part and James C. GRAHAM of said County of the other part witnesseth that the said County Court doth put Silas FUQUA aged eighteen on the 25th December 1819 who was bound to John GRAHAM as apprentice to the said James GRAHAM to learn the art and mystery of a Carpenter with him to dwell till he Shall obtain the age of twenty one years and the said James C. GRAHAM Covenants with the said Justices and their Successors that he will learn and Instruct or Cause to be instructed the said Silas FUQUA the art and Mysteries aforesaid and also Reading Writing and Common Arithmetic as far as the Rule of three during the Said Term of apprenticeship shall fend and provide for the said apprentice good and wholesome meat, drink, washing, lodging and apparel and all things fit and necessary for and apprentice and at the end of the Said Term shall pay the said apprentice three pound ten Shilling Current money and a decent Suit of new Cloths witness our hands and seale this day and date of hand written.
