DEED:  H.F. GRANT and Overall GRANT to Alfred M. GRANT, 1883, Bullitt County

This deed made entered into this 27th day of November 1883 by H.F. GRANT 
and Overall GRANT of the first part and Alfred M. GRANT of the second part 
all of the County of Bulitt and State of Kentucky Witnesseth:

That the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of 
$110.  One hundred and ten dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of 
which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained sold and hereby delivers 
unto the said Alfred M. GRANT his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel 
of land lying in Bullitt County Kentucky being the same allotted to John & 
Overall GRANT in the division of the lands of John GRANT Sr. deceased and 
bounded as follows:

Beginning at a stone corner is Lot 4 1 & 2 thence with Lot 4. S27 E94 poles 
to a stone in W.H. JAMES line and with same S62 W34 1/2 poles to a stake 
corner is said JAMES in Jerry STALLINGS line and with the same N29 W93 1/2 
poles is a stone corner to Lot No. 2 thence with the same N61 1/2 E34 1/2 
poles to the beginning being lot No. 3 in said division containing 20 acres 
more or less.

To have and to hold unto the said Alfred M. GRANT his heirs and assigns forever 
and the said H.F. GRANT together with his wife Laura GRANT also Overall GRANT 
hereby covenant and agree that they will and their heirs shall forever warrant 
and defend the title to the above described tract or parcel of land unto the 
said Alfred M. GRANT against the claim of every person claiming the same.

In testimony whereof the party of the first part hast hereunto set their hands

certify that on the 27th day of November 1883 the forgoing deed from H.F. GRANT 
and wife and Overall GRANT to Alfred M. GRANT was produced to me in my County(?) 
and duly acknowledged by H.F. GRANT and Laura F. GRANT his wife also Overall 
GRANT to be their lawful act and deed witness my hand this the date above written.

I E.W. HALL Clerk of the Bullitt County Court in the State of aforesaid certify 
that on the 27th day of November 1883 the foregoing deed from H.F. GRANT & others 
to Alfred M. GRANT was lodged in my office and ordered to be recorded and that I 
have hereby recorded it with the foregoing and this certificate in my office this 
the 11th day of December 1883.
