GILMORE and Emma GILMORE his wife and Isaiah JAMES of the first part and Laura GRANT wife of William GRANT of the second part all of Bullitt County Kentucky Witnesseth: That for and in Consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and Sixty Dollars paid and to be paid as follows, One hundred and Ninety Dollars cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, one hundred and thirty five dollars due and payable one year from this date, and one hundred and thirty-five dollars due and payable two years from this date evidenced by two promissory notes of said Laura GRANT and her husband Williams GRANT of ever debt herewith payable to the said John W. GILMORE of the first part and bearing six per cent per annum interest from date until paid and to secure their payment a lien is retained on the land herein conveyed, The said John W. GILMORE and Emma GILMORE his wfie and Isaiah JAMES have granted bargained sold and hereby sell convey and deliver unto the said Laura GRANT her heirs and assigns forever with Covenant of General Warranty - the following described tract of land in Bullitt County KY, Beginning at a stone and beech corner to _________(?) in William CRUMBACKERS line and with the same N36 E38 2/5 poles to the corner of Lot No. 5 and with the same N36 E43 poles to a stake corner to Lot 3 and with the same N55 W74 poles to a red oak S36 W54 2/5 poles to a dead beech ________(?) by Corner and with his line S34 1/2 W25 poles to a stone S53 E74 poles to the beginning containing 34 1/2 acres more or less. To have and to hold the same to the second party her heirs and assigns forever with al lthe appurtenances thereon and thereunto belonging. Witness the hands of the grantors this 20 August 1887. GILMORE his wife and Isaiah JAMES parties thereto to be their act and deed and on the same day it was lodged in my office and ordered to be recorded and that I have truly recorded it with this certificate in my office this the 22nd day of August 1887.
