GRANT and Laura GRANT his wife of the first part and George ARMSTRONG of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part in consideration of four hundred dollars paid and to be paid as follows: Two hundred and sixty dollars cash in hand paid and one hundred and forty dollars to be paid in two years from this date and for said deferral payment the second party has executed his promissory note of even(?) date(?) herewith bearing six per cent intrust from date and due and payable as above stated, a lien is retained to secure payment of said note, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby sell, grant and convey to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns the following described property viz: Two tracts of land in Bullitt County, Kentucky and bounded as follows: First tract = Beginning at a stone corner to lots 1, 2 and 3 thence with lot 3 S29 E93 1/2 poles to a stone in W.N. JAMES line and with the same N62 E48 1/2 poles to a white oak and ironwood in Richard JAMES' line, thence N25 1/4 W93 3/5 poles to a stone corner to lot 1, thence S61 1/2 W53 1/2 poles to the beginning, containing 29 1/2 acres, see Deed Book V page 631. Also a Tract Beginning at a stone corner to lot No 4 1 and 2, thence with lot 4 S29 E94 poles to a stone in W.N. JAMES' line and with same S62 W34 1/2 poles to a stake corner to said JAMES' in Jerry STALLINGS line and with the same N29 W90 1/2 poles to a stone corner to lot No. 2 thence with the same N61 1/2 E34 1/2 poles to the beginning, containing 20 acres more or less, see Deed Book Z Page 483, being same two tracts conveyed said Wm. O. GRANT by Deed recorded in Deed Book 32 page 425 To have and to hold the same with all the appurtenances thereon to the second party his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty. The party of the first part hereby reserves the following timber on said two tracts, all the poplar, ash, walnut, white oak and hickory and is to have until Dec 25 1902 to remove said timber, first party guarantees to second party an outlet to County road Witness our hands this 23rd day of January 1902.
