HUGHES and Jane HUGHES, children of his late wife who was Jane SHANKLIN , and 
 William SHANKLIN, Elizabeth SMITH, Solomon HORNBACK and Mary C. his wife, 
Robert SHANKLIN, Joseph EWING and Celia B. his wife, Hannah SHANKLIN, 
Catherine SHANKLIN and George S. SHANKLIN and infant by Magdalen SHANKLIN his 
mother and guardian who are the legal heirs of Robert SHANKLIN dec'd of the 
one part and John SHANKLIN of Bullitt County of the other part.

Witnesseth that for an in consideration of the said John SHANKLIN having 
fully and entirely complied with the conditions of a covenant given to him by 
the said Rober SHANKLIN Dec'd dated 25 Nov 1812 (? year was hard to read) and 
of record in the Clerk's office of Jessamine County Court and for the further 
consideration of a fair division having this day taken place of the said 
decedent and the said John having executed by his release of other portions 
of the estate of the said Rowland HUGHES (and the others named above) do 
hereby release unto the said John SHANKLIN a tract of land of three hundred 
three and one fourth acres lying on the waters of Floyds Fork and Brooks Run 
in the County of Bullitt.
