POPE Clerk of the Court of Bullitt County do certify that on the 26th day of May 1823, The within Power of Attorney was presented to me in my office and being duly certified I have recorded the same together with the certificate thereon endorsed in my said office as required by law. POPE This Indenture made the 2nd day of December 1822 betwen Asa HALL of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and William BURKITT of nelson County and state aforesaid do convey a certian tract or parcel of land lying in Washington County and State of Indiana being the half of the South West Quarter of Section Eight in Township One North of Range Three East containing eighty acres, being being the West half of the So. Quarter. I do by these presents relinquish all my right title, interest and claim to the within specified lands. Such a right as I rec'd from the Govenment from a patent no. 3696, to Nicholas Gentry and Asa Hall, recorded in Volume 41 page 60 I do warrant and defend the title of said land to the said BURKETT from me my heirs and all persons claiming under me this day and date above written for in consideration of the sum of Ninety Dollars to me in hand the rect Whereof is hereby acknowledged in Testimony Whereof I set my hand and seal this above date.
