KY Deed Book B p.74 Know all men by these presents that I EDWARD ROGERS of the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky have made Constituted and appoint and by these presents do constitute WILLIAM SNELLING of Nelson County and Commonwealth aforesaid my attorney in fact for me and in my name to my proper use and benefit to ask demand sue for and recover a certain Negro man slave CHARLES belonging to me between twenty six and thirty Years of age and now in the Mississippi Territory and as I suppose in the possession of CALLENDER or that he recover for me the value of the said Negro (signed) EDWARD ROGERS Recorded 15 Jan 1807 Bullitt Co. KY Court 15 Sept 1848 Bullitt Co. KY Deed Book L p. 371 Owen GOLDSMITH and Mary his wife of Bullitt County, Kentucky to Granville ROUSE of the same place. For and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars payable as follows: $700 on the 1 March 1849 and $300 on the 1 March 1851 have conveyed to the said Granville ROUSE 135 acres more or less of land to come out of two tracts, one of 100 acres conveyed by Sam’l GOLDSMITH and wife to said Owen GOLDSMITH by deed dated 24 Oct 1839 recorded book I p. 229, Bullitt County Court office and a tract of 63 1/2 acres and 14 poles conveyed to said Owen GOLDSMITH by Anderson JEFFRIES and wife deed dated 24 Oct 1839 recorded Book I page 231 out of which tracts is reserved and not here conveyed about one acre where Saml GOLDSMITH lived and has a ferry on Salt River reference to said deed aforesaid and out of said tracts is also reserved a tract of 37 acres and 33 poles conveyed to said Anderson JEFFRIES and wife by said Owen GOLDSMITH by deed dated 24 October 1839 - the tract of 100 acres and bounded as follows: the corner of Thomas KEYS 100 acres and a stone on the line of the land of Owen GOLDSMITH... to the S Eastwardly corner of And. POTTS 100 acre survey and the boundary of said Saml GOLDSMITHS one acre more or less where he resides at the ferry and the boundaries of the 37 acre tract being Salt River about six poles below Saml GOLDSMITH’s ferry at a stone corner to KEYS and a line between Owen GOLDSMITH’s tract and a stone on the bank of Salt River. HOLSCLAW of the County and State aforesaid of the other part... that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars current moiety to them in hand paid have granted bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid and bounded by JOHN FLICK’S corner , near his house... to OVERALLS corner... supposed to contain about Sixty acres be the same more or less, being the same land deeded to said JAMES HOLSCLAW deceased by B---- BURKHEAD and wife 19 Aug 1829 recorded in Bullitt County book G. page 222.
