Leonard BURCH and Sarah BURCH his wife of Hardin County and State of Kentucky of the one 
part to William  HILTON of Bullitt County and State aforesaid of the other part... that for 
and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars Current money of the 
United States to them in hand paid have granted bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel 
of land containing thirty six acres lying and being in Bullitt County on the waters of Coxs 
Creek adjoining John OVERALLS Beginning at TOMLINSON’s south east Corner ..... running with 
John OVERALL’s line to WISES Corner then with WISES line to a Spanish Oak lying in 
TOMLINSON’s line.

15 Oct 1833 Bullitt Co. Deed Book G p. 527  William F. HILTON and Lucy his wife of the 
County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and John P. COUCHMAN of the County 
and State aforesaid of the other part.  That for and in consideration of the sum of twelve 
Hundred dollars to them in hand paid hath bargained and sold a certain tract or parcel of 
land lying and being situate in Bullitt County on the Waters of Rock run adjoining the land 
of Whitledge OVERALL, William SHOPTAW, W. OVERALL’s corner... to a hickory in CRENSHAW’s 
field.

this William HILTON has a middle initial but I cannot make it out.    This is during Mr. 
Halbert’s reign as county clerk and  when he gets in a hurry I have a very difficult time 
with what he has written...  his pen also fades in and out a lot making it even more 
difficult.
