Deed Book A2 p. 154 Be it known that I James HORNBECK of Messer County and State of Kentucky have ordained constituted & appointed Sol HORNBECK of the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name to act in my place and sted and to my used to demand and recover of James CUNNINGHAM of Hardy County and State of Virginia my third part of a Bond of Sixty seven pounds Virginia Currency which is due from the said CUNNINGHAM to myself Abraham and Sol. HORNBECK and Further Grant and my Attorney to take all lawful measures in the recovery of my part of the s'd Bond as fully and effectually to all intents & purposes as if I was personally present hereby rattifying and confirming whatsoever my said Attorney shall lawfully do or cause to be done in and about the same. in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 16th day of December 1799. HORNBECK of the County and State aforesaid my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name to ask demand sue for recover and receive all my claim and Interest in a Bond due to me from James CUNNINGHAM with its lawful Interests and upon payment of the same to Sue prosecute and recover according to Law and upon payment of same or any part thereof for me and in my name to give acquittance and discharges for the same as fully and effectually to all interests and purposes as if I were personally present hereby ratifying and confirming whatsoever my said Attorney shall lawfully do or cause to be done in and about the same - in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of August 1800.
