Deed Bk I p. 254 Richard JAMES and Mary JAMES his wife, Samuel STALLINGS and Ann STALLINGS his wife all of the County of Bullitt, State of Kentucky to John JAMES of the county of Lawrence, State of Illinois... for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars lawful money of the United States in hand paid hath granted, bargained and sold a tract of land in Bullitt County on the North Side of Salt River containing three hundred acres more or less, the same land of which Richard JAMES dec'd died seized of ... mentions that the land meanders the Salt River to the low water mark.
