Deed Book Richard JAMES and Mary JAMES his wife and Samuel STALLINGS and Ann STALLINGS his wife, all of the county of Bullitt and State of Kentucky and John JAMES of the County of Lawrence and State of Illinois of the first part and Thomas STALLINGS Jr., Saray JAMES and Harriet JAMES of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the Second party. Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand five Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States in hand paid hath granted bargained and sold a tract of land in Bullitt County and on the north side of Salt River containing one hundred and thirty acres more or less and in the same land of which Richard JAMES dec'd died seized of and is bounded as follows viz. beginning at stone planted above a small beach tree on the bank of Salt River.... to have and to hold the same with all singular with the appurtenances thereunto belonging .
