POPE, Clerk of the County Court of Bullitt of the one part to Elisha JAMES of the other part. Witnesseth that according to an order of said Court the said POPE hath put and placed, and by these presents doth place William CHARLES a poor orphan of the age of about twelve years an apprentice to the said Elisha JAMES after the manner of an apprentice to serve and obey the said Elisha JAMES from this day until he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years: and the said Elisha JAMES covenants and agrees to teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed the art and mystery of a black Smith and during the term of apprenticeship to find, provide and allow to the said William CHARLES sufficient meat, drink, lodging, washing and apparel with all things fit and necessary for an apprentice and reading and writing and common arithmetic including the rule of three and at the end of said term to give the said William CHARLES three pounds ten shillings and a decent suit of new clothes.. KY Court 28 Nov 1826 Julias JAMES of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part to William LEE of the County and state aforesaid of the other part that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars good and lawful money of the United States in hand paid doth grant bargain and sell to the said William LEE a certain lot or parcel of ground in the town of Mount Vernon on the County and state aforesaid the same being on the north side of the main Street in the town of Mount Vernon known and designated by the number 39 in the plan of said town the same being the lot sold to said JAMES by Philip ZILHART having a dwelling house and blacksmith shop erected thereon and the same being more fully set forth by the deed from the said ZILHART being on matter of record in the County Court of Bullitt County. KY Deed Book L p. 369 Isaac STALLINGS and Rebecca STALLINGS his wife of Bullitt County, state of Kentucky to Richard JAMES of the same place. For and in consideraton of the sum of Eight hundred and Seventy five dollars paid as follows viz six hundred dollars paid in hand and the balance of two hundred and Seventy five dollars payable the first day of March 1850, the said Isaac STALLINGS and wife have sold and conveyed the following tract of land in the County of Bullitt and state of Kentucky on the waters of Floyds fork containing one hundred and Six acres be the same more or less and bounded by the line of Jacob HARMAN and the corner of Jeremiah STALLINGS.. the same land conveyed by Benjm. CHAPEZE and wife to Henry STALLINGS and this tract conveyed by Henry STALLINGS to said Isaac STALLINGS by deed dated 24 July 1829 recorded in Bullitt Co. Circuit Court in book G p. 105.
