Deed Bk C p. 268 Thomas DAVIS of the County of Lincoln and State of Kentucky to George L. KEY of the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid. For and in Consideration of the good will and affection which the said Thomas DAVIS bears to the said George L. KEY doth give, grant and confirm to the said George L. KEY a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bullitt and state aforesaid on Salt river containing by survey one hundred acres being part of a tract of land of nine hundred acres entered in the name of Robert DAVIS and surveyed and patented in the name of the said Thomas DAVIS bearing the date the sixth day of November 1787. KEY - looks like Geafy, Crafny, Ceasny If anyone knows who he is please let us know so that we can give him a first name for the archives! The deed was recorded in Bullitt County Court 29 Feb 1815 Lincoln Co. KY marriage bonds show the following: Consent of Thomas DAVIS, Guardian for Martha DAVIS to marry Thomas KEY 6 Jan 1791. George SPEARS and David JOHNSON were witnesses. A marriage is also recorded in Lincoln Co. on the same day for George KEYS to marry Mary HUFFMAN 6 Jan 1791. On the marriage he is KEYES but the bond reads: George KAYE to marry Mary HUFFMAN with William HUFFMAN as surety 4 April 1795. Consent of Frederick HUFFMAN and Mary HUFFMAN for their daughter 3 April 1795 witnessed by William HILL and Joseph HICKS.
