1 May 1808  Bullitt County Deed Book B p. 215  William KING and Lettice KING  his wife of Nelson County and 
State of Kentucky of the one part and John E. KING of Cumberland County and state aforesaid of the other 
part... for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings current money to them in hand paid have granted 
bargained & sold a certain tract or parcel of land containing by patent five hundred acres situate ain the 
County of Bullitt  ...  Beginning at William KING's north 
west corner.

Personally appeared before us Vincent DAVIS and John HOBBS Justices of the peace in and for the County 
aforesaid.  Letice KING wife of the within named William KING being privately exmined apart from her said 
Husband freely and voluntarily relinquished her right of dower.  Recorded Nelson Co. Court 21 May 1808
