Lee of the County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that according to an order of the said Court the said Grayson hath put and by these presents doth put Jerry Bird a poor child an apprentice to the said Lee from this day until he shall arrive to the age of twenty one years and the said Lee convenants with the said Grayson and his Successors that he will teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed the business of a Farmer and also reading writing and Common arithmetic including the rule of three and during the said term of Apprenticeship shall find and proved for his said apprentice meat, drink, washing, lodging and apparel with all things fit and necessary for an apprentice and at the end of the said term shall pay said apprentice three pounds two shillings and a decent new suit of Clothes.
