2 October 1797  Bullitt Co. Deed Book A2  p. 126  Clement McDANIEL of the County of 
Pittsylvania and State of Virginia of the one part to Colley McDANIEL of the County of 
Nelson and State of Kentucky of the other part that for and in consideration of the sum of 
one hundred and Fifty pounds Current money of Virginia to him in hand paid have granted 
Bargained and Sold a certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing three hundred acres lying 
and being in the County of Nelson on Crooked Creek, a branch of Rolling Fork of Salt River . 
 Beginning at two Beech Trees near the foot of the knobb on the South side of said Creek 
running thence north...
