24 November 1854  Bullitt County Deed Book N p. 172  
Whereas the Coloured People of Bullitt County have paid the sum of Fifty five 
dollars for which I have sold and do hereby convey unto them for the purpose 
of a church and to descend to the Coloured people of said County forever for 
the purpose of a church and which is called the Coloured Union Meeting house 
and which embraces the following peice or parcel of land.  Beginning at a 
stone on the North side of the big road in SIMMON's line and with Same N  1/2 
W. for 10 poles to a stone thence N 881/2 E 8 poles, Thence S 1 1/2 East 
poles, thence S 88 1/2 West 8 poles to the Beginning and which his on the big 
road from Shepherdsville to Bloomfield 5 1/2 miles from Shepherdsville 
Containing about half an acre more or less And which is conveyed by Said 
Coloured People for the purpose aforesaid and I warrant the title thereto.  
Witness my hand this 11th day of November, 1854.
