Deed Book F p. 306 Edmund POLK of the County of Bullitt, State of Kentucky of the one part to Jacob YODER of Spencer County in Same State for and in Consideration of the sum of One Hundred and five Dollars Current money to them in hand paid doth grant bargain and sell a certain parcell of land lying and being in the County of Bullitt on the waters Floyds Fork containing one hundred and Five acres be the same more or less being part of David LEITCHS Survey of 1400 acres and bounded by Thomas WILLCOXON’s line.. for use and behoof of him Jacob YODER by the said Edward POLK being the same tract of land conveyed by James TAYLOR to the said POLK. Sometimes the two are very hard to tell apart and I am not sure but in this deed the writing is pretty clear and it looks llike it keeps changing from Edward to Edmund and back again.. same goes for POLK and POKE throughout! 12 Dec 1851 Bullitt County Deed Book M p. 231 William POLKE and Sally POLK his wife of Bullitt Co. KY to George S. MILLER of the County and State aforesaid that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars to them in hand paid do grant bargain and sell a certain tract or parcel of land in Bullitt County binding on the North side of salt River containing thirty acres be the same more or less.
