Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold and doth by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the party of the second part the following tracts of land lying and being in the County of Bullitt and on the north side of Wilson's Creek. The first tract containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less, and being the same tract conveyed to the party of the first part by Benjamin Lasley and Sarah his wife by deed dated the 22nd day of March 1806 and recorded in Deed book B page 59 which is referred to for boundary. Also a tract of three acres being the same tract conveyed to the party of the first part by Peter Ricketts and Mary his wife by deed recorded in deed book C page 24 and which is recorded the 23 day of August 1813. Also the following boundary which is a part of the tract on which I live and called the Smith tract which is Smith's Preemption of four hundred acres and the part being conveyed is to begin on Wilson's Creek at the mouth of my branch the first big branch above my mill and to __ ___ north with the line of a fence to the top of the hill and thence to a beech and stone marked J.R. and thence down the road to Lasley's line being the line of the first tract herein named and thence with Finn's line and Smith's line along the same to Wilson's Creek, thence down Wilson's Creek to the mouth of the gut, the beginning. Containing forty odd acres ____ not having been surveyed, and which is deeded to the party of the second part more or less. This land is deeded to the party of the second part, and William Ricketts is to live and have a living off of said land during his life as also his children and at his death the title in full is to pass to his children. To have and to hold the said described lands unto the party of the second part as aforesaid against the claims of the party of the first part and his heirs against the claim of all other persons claiming the same. The family grave yard which is on the Lasley tract is excepted out of this conveyance. Ricketts & children was produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Jonathan Ricketts to be his act and deed.
