Witnesseth that the said Mary Ricketts Jonathan Ricketts Able Shain and Mary his wife and Jacob Duvall and Betsy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar current money to them in hand paid by the said Davis the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Ezeriah Davis and his heirs forever all that part of tract of four hundred acres of land lying in the county of Bullitt on Wilson's Creek which is contained in the following bounds, to wit, beginning at a white oak black oak and maple ___ of the corner of the said 400 acres running with a line thereof north forty five degrees west two hundred and sixty poles to an oak near the knob another corner of the said 400 acres thence with another line there of south forty five degrees west eighty one and one half poles to a stake on said line corner to a tract of land ___ conveyed to Jacob Duvall then with his line south forty five degrees east two hundred and sixty poles to another stake corner of said Duvall on the original line of 200 acres thence with said line north forty five degrees east eighty one and one half poles to the beginning containing one hundred thirty two & two third acres by the said ____ to have and to hold the said land and premises as before described unto the said Ezeriah Davis and his heirs forever and that the said Mary Ricketts Jonathan Ricketts Able Shain & Mary his wife and Jacob Duvall and Betsy his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant promise and agree to and with the said Ezeriah Davis & his heirs that the foregoing land and premises they will forever warrant and defend to the said Davis against the claims of themselves and their heirs and from the claims of all persons claiming under them any of them. In witness whereof the said Mary Ricketts Jonathan Ricketts Able Shain and Mary his wife and Jacob Duvall and Betsy his wife have set their hands and seals this day and year first above written.
