20 April 1829  Bullitt Co. Deed Book G  p. 85  To all people to whom these 
presents shall come.  Know ye that I Nicholas RUSSELL Sr. of Bullitt County, 
Kentucky, for sundry good causes and mighty considerations for the care and 
attention and many services rendered unto me by my Grandson Nicholas RUSSELL 
Jr. and for the love and affection I have for him have given and granted the 
following negros towit:  Amy, Moriah, David, Lewis, Sena and Ruth - them and 
all their increase being in the immediate possession during his natural life 
for his service.  dated 20 Apr 1829.  Signed Nicholas (X) RUSSELL
