POPE, Commissioner appointed by a decree of the Bullitt Circuit Court in a Suit in Chancery in the name of William SHAINS hairs against John ESSERY & others of the one part and Mary SHAIN, Widow and Cephas SIMMONS and Cynthia his wife, David SHAIN, Mortimer D. ROBARDS and Lydia his wife, Nancy SHAIN, John B. SHAIN, Thomas SHAIN, F---- SHAIN, James ROBARDS and Rachel his wife, Squire SHAIN, Mariah GLASS, Washington GLASS, William GLASS and Thomas GLASS, heirs of said William SHAIN dec'd of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George F. POPE, Commissioner as aforesaid for and in Consideration of Said decree hath and by these presents Doth grant, alien, sell and convey unto the said Mary SHAIN, Widow and Cephas SIMMONS and Cynthia his wife, David SHAIN, Mortimer D. ROBARDS and Lydia his wife, Nancy SHAIN and John B. SHAIN, Thomas SHAIN, Felix (?) SHAIN, James ROBARDS and Rachel his wife, Squire SHAIN, Margaret GLASS, Washington GLASS, William GLASS and Thomas GLASS heirs of said William SHAIN dec'd a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bullitt on Cane run and containing two hundred acres and bounded as followeth: Beginning at two white oaks on MACHIR's line running thence north thirty degrees west two hundred and forty six Poles to a white oak and Poplar thence South fifty three degrees west one hundred and thirty three degrees west one hundred and thirty three Poles to a Stake thence South thirty degrees East two hundred and forty Six poles to a Stake in MACHER's line thence with MACHER's line north fifty three degrees East one hundred and thirty three Poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the said Tract of Land with all appurtenances unto the said Mary SHAIN widow and others as heirs and representatives of said William SHAIN deceased and the said George F. POPE on behalf of John ESSERY do covenant and agree to and with the said Mary SHAIN and the heirs of William SHAIN to defend forever the said tract or parcel of land from all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming the Same by from and under him or them and that William STARK and the heirs of John CARR deceased shall forever release all claim or title to the same to the heirs of the said William SHAIN dec'd.
