14 Jun 1831 Bullitt County Deed Book G p. 287  Temperence SHAIN of Mercer 
County, State of Kentucky to Philip GRABLE, County of Bullitt... the said 
Temperence doth hereby bargain sell convey and confirm for and in 
consideration of the sum of Eighty Dollars to her in hand paid a parcel of 
land inherited by the said Temperence from the estate of Francis SHAIN dec’d, 
the land lying in Bullitt County, State of Kentucky on the waters of Crooked 
Creek entered and surveyed to Francis SHAIN and David GRABLE and bounded in 
part by the lands formerly owned by David GRABLE and bounded by lands of 
David GRABLE and John JACKSON.
