2 Feb 1838  Bullitt Co. Deed Bk I p. 83  Robert SHANKLIN to John SHANKLIN 
both of Bullitt Co. for one dollar in hand in love and affection sold a lot 
of land of 5 1/2 acres more or less adj. the town of Shepherdsville lying 
north of the lots purcased at the Sheriff’s sale by said Robert SHANKLIN as 
the (former) property of James DOZIER and deeded by the Sheriff to said 
Robert SHANKLIN and Reuben D. N. MORGAN - see  deed recorded in book D p. 513 
dated 11 Mar 1822 conveyed to said DOZIER by Peter SWEETS 12 Dec 1820 in deed 
book D p. 459.  Sold to SWEETS by Adam SHEPHERD deed dated 21 Sep 1818.  
Signed Robert (X) SHANKLIN and the deed was recorded by the Bullitt Co. clerk 
2 Feb 1838.

20 Jan 1834  Bullitt Co. Deed Bk H p. 92  I Sarah SHANKLIN, widow and devisee 
of Richard SHANKLIN dec’d for divers good causes and considerations... doth 
nominate, constitute and appoint Jane HOUSTON of Bullitt Co. my true and 
lawful attorney and in my name to sign my name to a bond given me on the 
decree of the Bullitt Co. Circuit Court in my name against the heirs of 
Richard SHANKLIN for the selling of my interest and the interest of the heirs 
in a tract of land in Bullitt Co. and a tract of 500 acres in Washington Co. 
KY....  I set my hand and seal this day 20 January 1834.  Signed Sarah 
SHANKLIN in the presence of B. B. CHAMBERLAIN, County Clerk in the State of 
Illinois, Morgan Co.,  delivered and recorded to the Bullitt Co. Court and 
recorded 30  (?) August 1834
