Deed Book B p. 654 Thomas SANDERS, late Sheriff of the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Agnes IRONS, relict of Jonathan IRONS deceased, James CALDWELL,, Trustee of Sally IRONS alias Sally MULLIKIN and of Rebecca JOHNSON, Nancy IRONS, Jonathan IRONS, Betsy IRONS and Polly IRONS, Devisees of Jonathan IRONS deceased and Joseph SANDERS of the said County and Commonwealth of the other part. Witnesseth That the said late Sheriff by Virtue of two Executions (#215 & #216) in the name of Joseph SANDERS against Philip BUCKNER Issued from the Clerkīs office of the Nelson Circuit Court the 14 Sep 1812 returnable the 21st Nov following and directed to the said Sheriff due for 150 pounds of Tobacco finde and Twenty three Dollars and thirty five and a half cents Cost, the other for two dollars and eighty cents costs advertised accordingly to Law and according to advertisement on the 17th day of October in the year 1812 between the hours of eleven oclock in the morning and three in the evening upon the premises the said Tobacco and costs remaining wholly unpaid sold to the said Jonathan IRONS deceased in his life time and to the said Joseph SANDERS the highest bidders at the price of three dollars as the property of the said BUCKNER a certain tract or parcel of land Containing four hundred acres part of a tract of Seven hundred acres lying on Salt river below Bullitts Lick, Patented in the name of BUCKNER as per patent bearing the date 23 July 1798 and being that part of seven hundred acres of land patented in the name of sīd BUCKNER below Bullitt Lick on Salt river which was conveyed to Jonathan IRONS 1912 acres the tract conveyed by him to John McDOWELL also in Consideration of the said Sum of three Dollars to the sīd Sheriff in hand paid the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged the said Sheriff bargains and sells said tract or parcel of 400 acres of land to the said Josephīs sīd Devisees...
