KY Circuit Court Deed Book A p. 8 This indenture made this tenth day of August 1822 Between George F. POPE Commissioner appointed by a Decree of the Bullitt Circuit Court in the Case of Gideon BRISTOW and Samuel BROWN against Andrew VAUGHN's heirs and others to convey on behalf of Joseph McDANIEL and Mary McDANIEL, Rachel MAY and Stephen MAY, Rebecca ROACH and Jacob DECKAR & the other heirs unknown of said Andrew VAUGHN dec'd, George BERRY and Austin HALL and Margaret his wife, W. C. MOTHERSHEAD, Charles MOTHERSHEAD and George MOTHERSHEAD heirs of Mary MOTHERSHEAD dec'd, Joseph McFALL and Nancy McFALL, Stephen LEWIS and Elizabeth LEWIS his wife, heirs of David MCFALL dec'd & Nicholas OSBORN and Moses OSBURN of the one part and Gideon BRISTOW, Samuel BROWN of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George F. POPE, Commissioner for and in Consideration of the said decree Hath and by these presents doth alien release and convey unto the said Gideon BRISTOW and Samuel BROWN a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt on the South Side of Salt River containing five hundred & fifty acres and bounded as followeth, towit: Beginning at three Sugar Trees on the Salt River running thence with the same --nding thereon six hundred & Eighty poles to two ashes Sugar Trees of LYNN, thence South one hundred & thirty four poles to large white oak hickory, thence South Sixty five degrees west four hundred twenty poles to a red oak poplar & Cedar, thence North Twenty three degrees west one hundred & thirty poles to the Beginning.... And the Said George F. POPE Commissioner as aforesaid for and on behalf of the before named persons doth covenant and agree to and with the said Gideon BRISTOW and Samuel BROWN that the Said Joseph McDANIEL, Mary McDANIEL, Rachel MAY, Stephen MAY, Rebecca ROACH, Jacob DECKAR and the other heirs unknown of the Said Andrew VAUGHN dec'd will and their heirs shall warrant & forever defend the said Tract or parcel of Land to the Said Gideon BRISTOW & Samuel BROWN their heirs from themselves their heirs and every person or persons claiming by through or under the Said Andrew VAUGHN dec'd or them as his heirs or assigns and the Said POPE commissioner as aforesaid doth further covenant on behalf of George BERRY, Austin HALL and Margaret his wife, W. C. MOTHERSHEAD and Charles MOTHERSHEAD, George, Joseph McFALL, Stephen LEWIS & Elizabeth his wife, Nicholas OSBORNE and Moses OSBORNE that they do now in pursuance of Said decree forever release and quit claim to all their Interest & title to said Land to the said Gideon BRISTOW & Samuel BROWN without being in any wise liable in case the Land Shall be Lost or taken away.
