Deed Bk. F p.25 John WHITLEDGE of the County of Bullitt, State of Kentucky of the one part to Daniel THORNBERRY of the said county & state of the other part... for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred and thirty four Dollars, Eighty seven and one half cents to him in hand paid hath given granted bargained and sold the following described tract of land towit Two Hundred five and three quarter acres of Land situate lying and being in the said County of Bullitt on the waters of Cedar Creek and Floyds Fork adjoining Thomas HARDIN's four hundred acre survey and John EDWARD's 1500 acre Survey. Beginning at a hickory, dogwood & Beech trees standing on Overall WHITLEDGE's line and Beginning corner to Thomas WHITLEDGES line running thence with his line south...to the Bank of Floyds Fork. Also for the consideration He the said WHITLEDGE doth hereby sell and convey to the said THORNBERRY the following articles of property towit: One negro man Jesse aged 33 years, one negro man Spencer aged 58 years, three feather beds, bedsteads and furniture, one cupboard, one bureau, one set of windsor chairs, one gray mare 22 heads of Hogs, four plows Two pair of gears, one mans saddle and one Bible to have and to hold the said property forever. Nevertheless, to be upon condition following: That Whereon this the Second day of April 1825 the said Daniel hath loaned to the said WHITLEDGE five hundred and thirty four Dollars 87.12 cents payable on or before the third day of September and hath took the said WHITLEDGE's note of that date for the same, now if the said WHITLEDGE shall and Will truly pay and discharge the said note given as aforesaid then these presents are to become null and void and the title of said Land, negroes and other property to revert back to the said WHITLEDGE, the said WHITLEDGE is to remain in possession of the said property until the said third day September 1826.
