According to the 1850 census, William was born about
1770 in New Jersey, but Delaware was more likely to have been his birth
place.  (His older brother James McAchran was born in 1769 in New Castle
County, Delaware, and his younger sister Mary McAchran in 1773 in
Pennsylvania.)  William and Jane were married on 11 April 1799 in Nelson
County, Kentucky.  William, a blacksmith and farmer, died in the 1850s in
Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Jane Lewis Mcahron died about 1814/1815 in Nelson County, Kentucky.  She
was the daughter of Thomas Lewis and Judith Ferguson, who moved from
Fairfax County, Virginia, to present-day Nelson County, Kentucky.

William Mceachran and Hannah Thomas were married on 1 August 1768 in Wilmington, Delaware, and lived
in Kent County, Delaware, and then near her parents, Morris and Mary
Cantrell Thomas, in Chester County, Pennsylvania.  After William's death
about 1774, Hannah and children moved with her parents and siblings to
present-day Hardy County, West Virginia.
In (West) Virginia, Hannah married again, to Thomas Parsons Jr., and they
had one daughter Susannah Parsons.  Hannah died 1779-1781, and Susannah
was taken by her uncle and aunt, Samuel and Elizabeth Thomas Denny to
present-day Mercer County, Kentucky, about 1789.
