Page 254.  May 27, 1824 from Edward H BIRCH of B, to Abraham JOBE of B, for $40, lot #58 in 
the Town of Shepherdsville and B. Signed - E.H. BIRCH.  Wit - Nicholas GENTRY, Benedict (X 
his mark) MAHORNEY, Harrison BROWN.  This deed was proved by the oaths of witnesses Benedict 
MAHORNEY and Nicholas GENTRY.  Recorded Aug 16, 1824.

NOTE:  Abraham JOBE married Martha FOX, daughter of Philip, on 22 April 1813 in Jefferson 
Co., KY.  They eventually moved to Texas.

Page 256.  I, William GRANT of B, for $500, have sold to John WHITLEDGE of B, 86 acres on 
Salt River in B, the same that was conveyed to him by Richard NEWKIRK, bounded by a stone 
marked WG & IN in William NEWKIRK's line.  If sd GRANT, within 2 years, reimburses sd
WHITLEDGE the sd $500, then sd land shall again be vested in sd GRANT.  Signed Jan 22, 1824 
- Wm. GRANT.  Wit - John L. WHITLEDGE, Thomas D. (X his mark) WHITLEDGE.  Recorded Aug. 17, 
1824.

Page 257.  I William GRANT of B, have this day sold to John WHITLEDGE of B, for $200, the 
following property:  3 horses, 10 horned cattle, 20 hogs, 3 beds and furniture, cupboard & 
furniture, 1 bureau, farming and kitchen utensils and furniture.  If sd GRANT pays the
$200 with 6% interest to sd WHITLEDGE, then the above property shall again be vested in sd 
GRANT.  The above property is not to be taken out of the possession of sd William GRANT for 
the space of the next 2 years.  Signed Jan 22, 1824 - Wm. GRANT.  Wit - John L. WHITLEDGE, 
Thomas D. (X his mark) WHITLEDGE.  Recorded Aug. 17, 1824.

Page 258.  Having purchased at Coroners Sale under an execution in the name of the Bank of 
Kentucky against Thos. Q. WILLSON, Jesse WILLSON, &c, 100 acres for $5, now for $5 by sd 
Jesse to me again returned, I hereby release all claim to sd land so acquired.  Signed Aug.
21, 1824 - E.K. WILLSON.  Wit - none.  Recorded Aug. 21, 1824.

Page 258.  Aug. 23, 1822 from Joseph HARDMAN and Sally, his wife, of B, to Jacob FOX of B, 
for $40, lot #46 in the Town of Mount Vernon in B, lying on the south side of the Main 
Street leading from Louisville to Bardstown & adjoining the Cross Street that lies on
the west side of Main Street leading from Shepherdsville to Shelbyville, being the same lot 
that was conveyed to sd HARDMAN by David R. DRAKE "& OTHERS" BY b DEED.  Signed - Joseph 
HARDMAN, Sally HARDMAN.  Wit - Geo. F. POPE.  Sally relinquished her right of dower.  
Recorded Aug. 22, 1824.


Page 260.  Jul 8, 1824 from Sollomon CORNELL and Nancy, his wife, of B, to Matthew HOMAN of 
B, for $1, all that tract of land in B on the waters of Dutchman (Cr), and bounded by Nelson 
KING's 92 acres, LEITCH's old line, William KING's old line, containing about 66 acres, the 
land being a part of David LEITCH's survey of 14,000 acres, and the same that sd CORNELL
