Bullitt Co. KY Court Orders, Book G, page 336

21 October 1844

Satisfactory proof was this day made in open Court by the Oath of Wm 
NASH that Jesse MILES late a Pensioner of the United States departed 
this life on the 11th April 1838 and that the said Jesse MILES  was 
the identical person named in an original Certificate of Pension now 
here Shewn to the Court bearing date on the 25 day of Septer (September)1833 
and syned by Lew CASS Sec of War granting to said Jesse MILES a pension of 
$30 per annum and numbered 19593 and it is further proved to the Satisfaction 
of this Court that the said Jesse MILES at the time of his death left no widow  
his wife having previously departed this life.
