September 2,1925 Hot again, stayed with Nancy again last nite. went to see Edna this morning she has a fine baby. September 3, 1925 Hot Hot hot my but it has been awful hot today I went over to Mabels to help her can tomatoes it surely will rain before many days, every thing is burning up the dinner Sat cleared about seventy days. September 4, 1925 Tired of Hot and dry cleaned up this morning went around to Lillians after dinner she is feeling bad thinks she had the flu again. Br. Henninger and wife are to be taken into the OES tonight September 5, 1925 Sat. Hot done as little as possible to day it is so awful hot and dry. September 6, 1925 Sun. This was one awful hot day a hot wind all day. Nath and Lulu and myself went to Bulah to church and to Sarah Ellen Hawes for dinner. and i sure did enjoy the day had not been to either place since I was married, our revival began tonite Bro. Jones will be with us tomorrow nite. September 7, 1925 Mon, Hot but a little cooler breeze Bro. Jones preached to nite. John and myself went around to Lillians and stayed all the afternoon with the others went to ball game Miss Gardner the school teacher is boarding at Pearls. September 8, 1925 Tue. Hot again, went to church twice today. FRank called Martha about dark, they were in town to nite and go to her mothers. she waited for the bus, it was Late that Bur took her when the bus come it turned and went rite back September 9, 1925 Wed. Hot but is raining gently now. went to Lula BRAITHWAIT with her sister and cousin and the Presbyterian Preacher Mr. ANDERSON sure had a treat tonite Lou Squires Bro. JONES cousin the great evenglist preached to us. Just cam out to church and went home. September 10, 1925 Thurs. Pleasant went to church twice today. Lillian was around to day. first time for nearly two weeks. Mabel went to twon to day and had fifteen teeth ????? I was sure glad off it. Mr. Jim HUFF as old as he is has cut a wisdom tooth had to have it pulled rite around September 11, 1925 Fri. Plesant went to church over to Mabels after church she is feeling all right only her mouth is sore. Bro. JONES had to go away to hold a ??? but will come back. September 12, 1925 Pleasant stayed with Nancy last nite, rained some last nite, and was raining when church was out to nite. Bro. HENENGER preached such a good sermon to nite Buelah went away to day spent the day at Hassies. September 13, 1925 Sun. Pleasant think it rained all nite. S. S. and Church went to dedication at Fern Creek, saw some of old friends, rained hard this morning. September 14, 1925 Mon. Pleesant rained some more, went to church went to bertha to see Mrs. BELL. September 15, 1925 Tues, Rainy and cool well there , there has not been a move made so far. I wonder if it our fault as a church as if they are so hardened. I am sorry for we are having such good preaching. but some ones to blame, not the preacher. September 16,1925 Wed. Plesant went to church and M. S. intended to go to Mabel's after churhc but Vallie come so did not go. there has not been a move made yet. September 17, 1925 Thur. Warm went to church and to Miss Emma CLARK for dinner. September 18, 1925 Fri. Warm went to Mrs. ARMSTRONGS for dinner did not come home when the preachers did Ora Lee BENNETT and myself stayed and come to church with them, we sure did have a good meeting tonite Little Alice COLLINGS is very bad, afraid she well have lock jaw. September 19, 1925 Sat. Hot home all day went to church to nite guess the meeting will close to morrow Frank and Martha went in town and Buelah came out here. Alice and Lilburn are both right sick yet. September 20, 1925 Rained as hard as I ever seen it all afternoon, folks did not come home so I sent to Lilians it rained so we did not go to church Buelah had to go Mrs. TYLER is very sick, Weaver, Marvin and Lillian PORTER, Wade and Mrs. NICHOLSON were received into the church this morning. September 21, 1925 Mon. Cooler went to see Mrs. TYLER she is better but weak Lilburns is not so well. Hazel and Dick went o a trip to day. Susie May went to Aliens to stay all nite Martha brot her piano home. packed box for Wesley House, valued about 80 dollars. rained this morning. September 22, 1925 Tue, Cold and gloomy Frank has fire in grate, it sure feels good rained this morning. September 23, 1925 Pleasant Mrs. TYLER no better, They took Liburn to the Deaconess today and Operated right away, but say there will have to be another one as as she is able to stand it. Sara McAFEE was at prayer meeting. Bud JAMES son John that married LIllian MILLER died today. September 24, 1925 Thur. Pleasant, went over to Mables this afternoon, up to Hassies she says Lilburn is getting along nicely Elmer RICHARDSON died this morning. September 25, 1925 Pleasant, home all Lillian around this afternoon heard there was another Dr. Coming to town. Mrs. TYLER is better. September 26,1925 Sat Warm, Mary BADGETT sent for me to day. Fannie BRIGGS is here and sure was glad to ????? and be with her a few days, she is going to California the first of Nov. and I may never see her again. September 27, 1925 Sun. Pleasant, rained a little last nite, cooler this morning hated to miss church but just couldn't help it. September 28, 1925 Mon. pleasant come home this afternoon. found them all gone to city, Martha's folks start to Florida to morrow so she stayed all nite LIllian and Susie Mae come home. Susie Mae started to Sepncerian business school to day. September 29, 1925 Tues. Pleasant went to see Nancy today she is a bit better it seems. Dell GROBEL (?) came last nite, over at Mabels awhile. Went to LIzzie WIGINGTONS to the alumimm? demonstration. Martha and John come home to day PATTONS moved to Taylorsvile today. September 30, 1925 Wed. Lovely Weather went to M. S. had such a good one. prayer meeting to nite, JOhn went to city twice today then pulled the table over on his nose rite bad. (??) Saw Lena BOGARDS marriage license in paper to John HARDIN Miss Clara WIDOM to Ward BROWN. October 1, 1925 Thur. Rained all day, started about four o'clock this morning. home all day. Mrs. BIVENS up awhile to nite. Dr HILL moved in to day: in rooms at Duke BURCHS Lena BOGARD and JOhn HARDIN married Clara WISDOM and Ward BROWN. October 2, 1925 Fri. pleasant rained this morning, home all day. cleaned up and done some odd jobs saw in paper where Emma GENTRY and Bur GENTRY was married. October 3, 1925 Sat. pleasant went to see Mrs. TYLER she is sitting up brot Lilburn home to day she is getting along nicely. Cooler slite frost las nite Home all day Martha went to Shepherdsville with Frank to see Ruth. October 6, 1925 Tues. Gloomy and cool. went over to Mabel's today come home after dinner started raining about five. Lilburn not getting along very well. October 7, 1925 Wed, Cool Bumed around all day. went to see Nancy. Mrs. MOTHERSHEAD saw to putting the new stove in the parrsonage polished it and cleaned up afterward. Buelah and Aileen are here to nite there is no use going to with all that noise below. October 8, 1925 Thurs. Cool Clear worked with my stove all morning but got it up at last, home all day, heard Henry BARNS had moved back to city. October 9, 1925 Fri. Cold and rainy home all morning went over to Mabels after dinner went to see Lilburn she was not much better, I am nearly froze. my stove pipe is out of whack and it don't seem like anyone wants to fix it. I'll find some one tomorrow, if I have to hire them about 1 - 5 minutes of work, wish I could do every thing myself. October 10, 1925 Sat. Cold, cloudy Home all day did not go any where only to store, Ruth and Allan come to day Bro. PEAK and Mrs. PEAK were out this afternoon saw them down at store. October 11, 1925 Sun. Cold fair S. S. Church all the places to day so glad we got Bro. HENNINGER back. October 12, 1925 Mon. Rained All day up to Nancy's awhile she was in Mrs. MOTHERSHEADS room. Gay as a cricket, to day was Mr. HARRIS' birthday. October 13, 1925 Tues. warmer home all day only around to Lillians awhile October 14, 1925 Wed. rained all day, went to M. S. had such a good meeting. went to P. meeting Very near all the children around have the whooping cough, heard they had another boy up at Ninas and Maynards. October 15, 1925 Thurs. Warm, did not rain but cloudy went over to Mabels awhile this mornoing sent Paxton a card shower (?) for his birthday I don't know how many went but LEna said there was a big bunch of them. October 16, 1925 Fri. Well it has rained all day simply poured have not been out of the house only when I had to empty the slop bucket. October 17, 1925 Cooler, well it hasn't rained to day was a bard storm in eastern KY yesterday afternoon. October 18, 1925 Cool went to S. S. and church. Lillian Ruth and the babies and myself took a stroll after dinner Martha's brother dined with her today and some man his boy and wife supper FRank friends from city. October 19, 1925 Mon. Home all morning around to Lillians awhile heard Nancy and Beckham GENTRY baby died yesterday Paxton received 70 cards. October 20, 1925 Tue, cold clear Lillian D. spent the day with me, Martha moved her bedroom today MR. HUFF died to day went to PTA to nite and joined. October 21, 1925 Wed, cloudy rained about five and is still at it, all day Mabels over at Daisies she was sick, went to prayer meeting it sure is dark and rainy, October 22, 1925 Thur Cold and fair went to Mr. HUFF funeral this morning home the rest of the day, Mr. Ben BROMELY was buried to day Jake COLLIER has traded with Marshal COLLIER for the little house. October 23, 1925 Fri pleasant haven't any fire to night home all day nothing particuly to write Martha has a bad cold October 24, 1925 Sat Rained this morning then cooler went to school supper had nice time while there met Dr. HILL and wife liked them very much. Martha had such a bad cold she did not go. October 25, 1925 Sun cold and gloomy S. S. and Church home all the rest of day. October 26, 1925 Mon. Cold wind to day was my birthday come very near forgetting it home all to day. October 27, 1925 Pleasant ironed, went to see Nancy, Dude TICHENOR's boy has infantile Porlocis it is getting close, all the schools in Jeff closed. October 28, 1925 Wed. first snow a regular blizzard, all day at the church, ???? a comfort, had dinner, and then our devotianal meeting, went to prayer meeting it sure has been one sweet day, Buelah come on five oclock bus October 29, 1925 Thurs, clear and cold sewed all day, nothing new, only the old PRATT house is almost torn down, wonder what Wilder will put there, it is hard to tell, Hubert and Lizzie moved in the CRENSHAW house to day October 30, 1925 Snowed again last night, well the weather is not much like it was last year at this date, finished Eva Reas dress to day, Paxtons come home to day I sure glad to see him he is looking fine. October 31, 1925 Sat. not so cold and clear home all day not doing very much, think I will go to Mabels tomorrow this i halloween but everything is quiet, but it is hard to tell what will be done. November 1, 1925 Sun, chilly damp and gloomy, went over to Mabels after S. S. goin to bed right soon November 2, 1925 Mon. Gloomy, cool 14 at church, at week of prayer went to Mabels and stayed all nite I led to day 12 present November 3, 1925 Tues, fair and warmer, come form Mabels after dinner voted and went to church 21 there Mrs. Emma CLARK led to day, Clarence PORTER and wife, Bro. HENNINGER and went to hear George STUART preach, Clarences children and myself kept the children, 15 min of eleve when they got back November 4, 1925 Pleasant Ella led to day there we r?? presant four vistors from Fern Creek. November 5, 1925 Thurs. rained all day no so cold Lillian led last nite, had a good crowd and a good program Georgie led to day, it was the childrens day 21 there fine for such a bad day, Frank and Martha are up at Dr. HILLS to nite. November 6, 1925 Fri. A very plesant , I have not got any fire to nite, Frank and Martha and a crowd are over to Mabels, Mr. CHESSED moved to day to the Hubert WIGGINTON place. November 7 1925 Sat WArm and rainy we had our dinner at the church but it was so bad Bro. JONES did not get here, well I suppose Herman SIMPSON is drowned, suppose he started up the creek at Hunly SMITHs and it was up and so swift, hes machine was found out in front of Alferd STANSUBRY's nearly every man and boy in town is out searching for him it is now eleven oclock Frank has not come home, poor Herman and his ???? old mother November 8, 1925 Sun, cooler and clear well we had such a lovely day at S. S. and church such a good missionary program at S. S. collection 12 dollars and little over. Bro. JONES preached a fine serman a ??? for come into the church Mrs. SALYERS and Mr CHESSERS wife and little girl, have not found Herman SIMPSON, body yet. November 9, 1925 Mon Fair and plesant well they found Herman SIMPSON's body and not far from GRAHAMS it was at the undertakers all day, but it is now at the house, if it had have been my boy he would have been take home if I had to someone else take him in a spring wagon. I know his mother wanted him and no one should have persuaded me otherwise. Mabel went to city this afternoon to have that other tooth out. November 10, 1925 Tues, Fair and pleasant spent the day at Mabels went to Trinety M. E. Church with Marion and Clarence heard a good sermon John MCCLURE moved in Mrs. Emma BROKSHIRES house to day. November 11, 1925 Wed, Warm clear we had our election of oficers to day and all went of so nice this has been the sweetest week to me it just seems like every one is so lovely, only half holiday to day. November 12, 1925 Thurs, rained all day home all day no one in November 13, 1925 Fri. Clear and a little cooler Mr. STRICKLAND left this morning home all day. Lillian around awhile. November 14, 1925 Sat. Clear warm ate dinner over at Mabels went with Hassie to call on Mrs. CHESSER. Margery and a Mr. HANNLY were out a little while. she has left the University. November 15, 1925 Sun, warm but by 12 oclock it was cold. will freeze to nite, Mr. HALE preeched morning and nite at our church Bro. HENNINGER is at Falls of Rough. Buelah come last nite, Harris come home only just got to see him, I ate dinner at Lillians to day. November 16, 1925 Mon, cold washed this morning Mrs. MOTHERSHEAD was here a little while, just knocked around all day. Mag BORDERS bought one of the M. S. Quilts. November 17, 1925 Tue, warmer sewed to day, nothing new. November 18, 1925 Wed. not very cold home all day sewing went to prayer meeting November 19, 1925 Thurs, pleasant sewed all morning went over to Mabels awhile. Harris has gone to work at the Ford Plant. November 20, 1925 Fri, plesant finished my dress and done a few off jobs, no news November 21, 1925 Sat. pleasant home all day, went to the school play the children done fine. November 22, 1925 Sun, Cooler went to S. S. and Church over to Mabels after dinner the M. Officers were instated by Bro. HENENINGER come last nite that Huston SMITHE little girl was dead. about six years old this is the second one is about three months and all they had. November 23, 1925 Mon, Cold ice this morning home all day , Frank moved Scobie HARRIS to city today. Mr. ROBARDS forgot to build a fire and ring the bell, forty odd at prayer meeting to nite Mr. CHESSER led, Bro. HENNINGER was not there he was gone to Marry Martha Ellen OWENS and Gary CASSELL. November 26, 1925 Thurs, rain, rain, Thanksgiving, we had a beautiful service this morning, so many there, Bernie LEE and his bride come out to day and are staying to night as it is so bad. Helne HARRIS and MR. WHEELER married this morning. November 27, 1925 Fri, Colder rain went to Lillians this morning then went to Mabels and goin to stay all went to Hassies birthday 48 years old. November 28, 1925 Sat, Colder, went Mr. HUFF's sale to day. thing sold cheap Rosie got the Sedan, I feel so sorry for her about the will she ought to have every thing, went to see Mrs. TYLER that place looks awful bad. November 29, 1925 Sun, cold fair home all day did not go to city with League RUth went home late this evening, Mr. Elmer WILLIS droped dead this morning, Mrs. WILLIS sent for Effie have not heard any particulars. December 1, 1925 Tues, cold well Harris did not go, he got a message from Fords to come back to work was glad for I knew Mabel would hate to see him go I know I did. December 2, 1925 Wed, It sure was cold this morning frost looked like snow, Lillian Martha and myself spent the day with Mabel. cloudy and gloomy all day, went to prayer meeting Edgar led thot he never would get thru talking sometime he is a little tiresome. December 3, 1925 Thur, warmer, home all day made a xmas Poster ? for Eva Rae. December 4, 1925 Fri, warm rained hard last nite and to day Paxton went to S-ville made a poster for Wade. The wind is sure blowing some. December 5, 1925 Sat, cold snow stayed all nite at Lillians taking a bad cold. Paxton went to S-ville. December 6, 1925 Sun.Cold clear all day at Lillians felt bad come home about four Minnie SETTLES was in to see me, had a nice chat with her felt awful bad went to bed early. December 7, 1925 Mon, gloomy cold laid around all day feeling bad. December 8, 1925 Tues, Cold and gloomy feel some little better to day. Bro. HENNINGER come over to see if I wanted to go to Trinity to hear Bishop ROGERS was sorry but felt to bad wind is blowing some. December 9,1925 Wed. Pleasant, I felt so weak and bad all day that Martha took me around to Lillians in Boss' machine I could not have walked. December 10,1925 Thurs. lovely day was laying down all day. December 11, 1925 Fri another beautiful day, feeling better, but still remain so weak heard Sammie SMITH 's tobacco barn burned this afternoon with some tobacca and corn in it. December 12, 1925 Sat, well it is another pretty day, come home this morning feel on the bum yet hope I will feel like going to church tomorrow, heard this morning that Nancy was much worse, must try and go to see her soon. December 13, 1925 Sun fair and cool did not go to S. S. went to see Nancy, she is very bad, do not alow anyone in the room only those that wait on her, Harris come home this week he has day shift now at the Ford Plant December 14, 1925 Mon, Fair and cool washed went the store about all I have done to day. December 15, 1925 Tues, Cloudy cold and a drizzling rain all day over at Mabels Mrs. Fred BOGARDS father was buried today, Charles GENTRY. December 16,1925 Wed. Gloomy and cold our all day meeting was very well attended had a lovely day even if it was so disagreable out side, had a good prayer meeting, poor old Nancy is still living, I do hope she is not suffering much. December 17, 1925 Thurs, cool, clear dressed 2 dolls to day went up to see poor Nancy this afternoon she looked so peaceful after her suffering. Nancy Jane TYLER died this morning. December 18, 1925 Fri, Cold wind went to Riverview to Nancy's funeral I like to have froze. Buelah and Margy come to Martha's for the week end. December 19, 1925 Sat. warmer cloudy cleaned up good went over to Mabels awhile Will KING fell off of Burr POLKS house to day and broke his arm and bruised himself up considerably. December 20, 1925 Sun.Warm and rain went to S. S. and church thats about all I done to day only read. December 21, 1925 Mon Cloudy and warm cooler toward nite, did not do much to day Lillian spent the day with me. December 22, 1925 Tues. This sure has been a bad day. cold stated snowing las nite, kept it up all day at times a regular blizzard and it sure will freeze up tite to nite. Herbert and Iana (?_) OWENS baby was buried at Bethal to day four months old. December 23, 1925 Wed. Cold and wind blowing to nite, nothing to write did not go to prayer meeting. December 24, 1925 Thurs, cold, xmas eve went around to school house this afternnoon, children done fine, well I got several nice presants and lots of cards. December 25, 1925 Fri, Cold wind Bro. FRAISER of Bardstown preached for us this morning he was fine, went to Mabels for dinner, Harris was home, he has a black eye had little accident the other day nothing serious. December 26, 1925 Sat. Coldest of the season trying to snow but to cold, did not go to play conldn't get any one to stay with JOhn I did not care much it was cold December 27, 1925 Sun, this is the coldest weather we have had this winter, went to church did not go to S. S. it was to cold, well they say the play was all rite, I don't know what they cleared. The masons had their dinner to day ??? have been cold when I came Home, I am glad this week is over. December 28, 1925 Mon, Cold and clear home all day well it so about Archie ANDERSON being married and him only sixteen, the girl is eighteen. January 19, 1926 Tues, Went over to Mabels awhile hurt my back some way to day January 20, 1926 Warm but cloudy, had to send for LIllian this morning, had to go home with her could hardly get up or down. January 21, 1926 Thurs, Started raining last nite turned to snow this afternoon every thing is now white my back hurts me awful bad. January 22, 1926 Fri, Clear and cold not thawing any, back no better January 23, 1926 Sat, Clear and cold thawing a little, Eva Rae tells me LIllian D. has her hair bobbed, back no better. January 24, 1926 Sun, Clear and a little warmer , had Dr. SETTLES this morning did not do me much good.
