WASHINGTON Bullitt News- The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jasper are glad to know their little three-year old son who has been very ill, is much improved. The little boy came from Waterford to visit his grandmother, Mrs. Ellaby, and was taken ill. Mrs. Mary Clark, who has been so near death's door is now on the road to recovery. Mr. J. D. Stansbury, aged sixty-one years, departed this life January 18, 1910, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Stansbury was one of our best citizens and the community will feel the loss as well as the family. He had been a member of the Baptist church since early in life, living a good Christian and was ready when the Savior called him. The oft repeated statement that "Death loves a shining mark" has indeed been verified in the death of Dexter Beryle Harris. Little Dexter dies Friday night, January 21, after a short illness of membraneous croup. It seems mysterious and hard that one, the pride of the home, one so hopeful and promising should be called to die so early in life. Yet God in his wisdom thought it best to take her. The writer can truly sympathize with those where death has knocked at the heart's door, for so brief a time that she lost a dear brother, but we must try and bow meekly under the chastening rod and lift our eyes heavenward wherein our loved ones dwell. -------------------------------------------------------------- The Jeffersonian June 29, 1911 MT.
