Will RIDGEWAY and wife from the city is spending a few weeks with his parents Ambrose RIDGEWAY and Wife. Miss Ruth OWENS spent Thanksgiving with Miss Genevieve STALLINGS. Rev. CUNDIFF was entertained Saturday night and Sunday in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert ARMSTRONG. Mrs. James RIDGEWAY spent a day and night last week with her daughter, Mrs. Posey GRANT who is on the sick list. Mrs. Mattie BLEEMEL and children spent a day the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Joe DICKEY. Claud STALLINGS, wife, and children, Miss Beulah and Master Kirk were Sunday Guests of Lewis STALLINGS and family. Mr. and Mrs. Mike BRUMLEY were in the city a day last week. on Business.. Robert GRANT and daughter Amylee were in Mt. Washington last week shopping. A new floor is being placed in the Bell's Mill bridge. Ambrose RIDGEWAY and wife were Sunday Guests of Posey GRANT and wife. H. C. TYLER and family spent Thanksgiving with his father, Mr. Lem TYLER and sister Mrs. Ed TYLER near King's Church. Goodlo BASS and wife from the city spent a day last week with hi brother Elbert BASS and wife Mrs. BASS. Earl OWEN and wife and Will BLEEMEL from the city were evening Thanksgiving guests of Mr and Mrs. Mike BRUMLEY. Lyman HALL, wife, and children were Sunday guests of his mother, Mrs. Kate HALL. Guy CASSELL and wife from the city spent Thanksgiving day and night with his mother, Mrs. Nettie CASSELL and Mr. and Mrs. Joe OWEN. Mrs. Marvin STALLINGS spent a day the past week with Mrs.Herman OWEN. Master Hilary BLEEMEL spent a weekend with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete BLEEMEL. Mrs. Charley NEWTON from the city was a guest a few days last week of her brother, Elbert BASS and wife. Mr Lem TYLER from King's Church spent the weekend with his son H. C. Mrs. Bertie GRIFFIN has been suffering with a very bad hand. Mr Harry BARRETT and family of Valley Station spent Thanksgiving with his mother here. Several from here were in Bardstown last Thursday, to see Queen Marie. The streets were thronged with people eager for a glimpse of the queen. Mr and Mrs. Leo FARNSLEY and family have removed to New Albany, Indiana, after residing here a year sawing timber. Mr and Mrs. Oliver HESSEY and Mr and Mrs. A. L. BEAN spent Saturday in Louisville. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard ROBY and Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. ROBY and Mrs. M. J. BRIDWELL were guests Thanksgiving Day of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. ROBY and family.. Mr Oliver CLEMENTS of Samuels and Mr. Claud COLEMAN of Fancy were in this section last week buying turkeys. Mr. and Mrs. A.L. BEAN have recently purchased a Chevrolet Coupe from Williams Motor Co., Bardstown. Misses Mattie and Lizzie THOMAS will leave shortly for Louisville to spend the winter. Mr. Robert STIERS is very ill. The P.T.A. of Nichols school will meet on Thursday Night. Miss Hazel FUNK and Miss Thelma MOORE are the best of friends. They tell me Ernest FUNK can't see as far ahead as he used to.
