Mt. Washington Man serves as Deacon for 50 years

W. D. ELLABY ahs been a deacon of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church for the last fifty 
years.  He started to Sunday School when he was seven and became its superintendent when he 
was eighteen.  He became a christian and united with the Mt. WAshington Baptist Church when 
he was ten.  he has filled every station and office in the church from moderator on down, 
except taht he has never preached from the pulpit.  he was made a deacon when he was twenty 
six and is still going strong at seventy six both as a trustee and as a deacon.
